# Node reference

> Reference documentation for Scrapist node categories and common nodes.

This page lists the nodes available in Scrapist today, grouped by category.

Conventions:

* **Kind**: `exec` or `data`
* **Structure**: `scalar`, `array`, `map`
* **Optional** means the port may emit/accept `null` and is treated as optional.

> Some nodes are “generic” in the editor (their port types are driven by sidebar metadata). In those cases, you may see “(generic)” and the actual type comes from metadata.
