Math nodes are pure data operations. They accept integer or number values and infer compatible numeric types from their connections.
Use Numeric Types Carefully
- Use integers for counts, indexes, and other whole values.
- Use numbers for amounts, ratios, percentages, fees, and decimals.
- Connect values with compatible types; add Cast when a deliberate conversion is needed.
- Clamp operator-editable amounts when the workflow has a safe minimum or maximum.
Test minimum, maximum, zero, and just-outside-the-boundary values. For money-related calculations, also test the precision that downstream launch or trading actions expect.
